Brutal Murder of Two Fishermen Shocks Pueblo Viejo, Magdalena, Colombia

Dead male, Gore, Murder

In a gruesome attack in Pueblo Viejo, Magdalena, Colombia, two fishermen, 62-year-old Darío A.A.P. and 55-year-old Wilmer N., were brutally murdered in the early hours of the morning. The men, who worked at an artisanal fish farm, were ambushed by heavily-armed assailants who stormed their quarters around 1:30 AM. Reports confirm that one of the victims—though accounts differ on which—was beheaded, adding a chilling layer of violence to the crime.

According to local sources, Wilmer N. had a dark past. In 2023, he was accused of abusing a disabled girl in Soledad, a city nearly 65 kilometers from Pueblo Viejo. Following the allegations, Wilmer fled and lived in hiding until his violent death. The motive behind the murders remains unclear, but speculation is rife.

The fish farm where the killings took place is reportedly owned by Brayan Armando Garizabalo Yépez, a notorious gang leader known as ‘Chocolate’. Authorities arrested him just days before the attack. The farm’s location on a lagoon, a known drug trafficking route, has raised suspicions of a possible connection to organized crime. Investigators are exploring whether the murders were a retaliatory strike linked to Chocolate’s capture or a broader turf war in the region.

This shocking incident has left the small community of Pueblo Viejo reeling, as police continue to investigate the brutal double murder and its ties to gang violence and drug trafficking.
